Ultrasound Guided Injections can be performed in the office

Dr. Cottom is able to provide injection treatment in the office with use of an ultrasound machine. The machine is a quick non-painful way for the doctor to identify the very small joints in the foot. Once the joints are found, an injection can be performed with the medicine being placed directly into the joint with predictable accuracy.

In the past we would take our patients to a surgery center so we could use large x-ray machines to do the same thing. With this advanced technology, these injections can be done in the office in about 5 minutes. Contact Dr. Cottom if you are experiencing foot and ankle pain and see if this new technology may benefit you.
