Florida Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Center recently held its first fellows’ reunion in Utah.  Nine former fellows joined Dr. Cottom for a weekend of cutting-edge education on the latest in total ankle replacement and lower extremity patient care.  It was a learning experience for all of us and we feel its important to stay on the cutting edge of technology to better serve our patients.  Overall, it was great to catch up and we cherish these opportunities to collaborate and enjoy the time with one another.  FLOFAC has graduated 13 fellows to date who practice all over the country.  The former fellows continue to be thought leaders in foot and ankle care, publish research, lecture at national surgery meetings, help design new orthopedic implants for use in foot, ankle and leg surgery as well as teach other surgeons on the safe and proper use of many different implants/techniques.  We are looking forward to the next reunion and to continuing to graduate well trained foot and ankle surgeons.
